Test drive...

We took the motorhome on a weekend trip to Illinois for a family wedding. I thought it would be a good test drive. The bed situation worked out well. The kids love the bunk beds, and the upper bunk (with a memory foam topper swiped from our bed) was fairly comfortable. The new table was very sturdy, and all our food fit in the new pantry cabinet.

Of course we couldn't have a trip without SOME kind of problem!! The puppy gets "motorhome" sick. YUCK! Hopefully he will outgrow it. After the puppy got sick we thought we were safe... he fell sound asleep on the floor. Rascal was sleeping in the upper bunk. Let me tell you, there is nothing quite as surprising as driving along and hearing a wretching sound from the bunk above the driver's seat. That was then followed by a nasty wet drip down the back of the seat. GROSS! SO the whole trip we were cleaning up dog throw-up. UUGGHH! He must have eaten something bad and/or eaten spme grass! We spent the whole trip cleaning up dog throw-up!! No more dogs in the upper-bunk, and no more dog food before a trip.

We also discovered, that we are leaking water. I think it is from the fresh water tank. We also had the air conditioner on for the dogs while we were a the wedding reception... to make sure that it wasn't too hot for them. When it cooled down and we shut it off... I noticed water dripping off of the roof. More issues that will need to be taken care of before the trip!!

On a better note.. the wedding and reception were great! We were so glad to be able to spend time with family.
